Contra Costa Humane Society

The Contra Costa Humane Society (CCHS) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that has worked to improve the quality of life for animals in our community for more than 25 years. The mission of CCHS is to empower our community to improve the quality of life for animals and decrease euthanasia rates.  Through our programs and services, we connect with individuals and private and public organizations to adopt dogs and cats, reduce the number of unwanted animals, and educate the public to foster compassion, responsibility, and respect toward animals. 

We believe in a society where all animals are cared for and respected in their forever homes and by all members in our community.
